Start by Goal

If this is your first time opening Aino, you do not need to learn the whole system first. Pick the thing that is blocking you now, follow the app path, then return to your daily note, weekly note, or theme note and keep writing.

I want to edit daily or weekly templates

Aino Desktop path: Open a daily or weekly note, then click Edit Template in the top toolbar. You can also open Settings → Periodic Notes → Periodic Notes and choose the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly template.

Obsidian path: Open the periodic template file directly in the current vault. The example vault usually stores it under 0. 周期笔记/Templates/; custom vaults follow the template path shown in Aino settings.

Read Template Syntax first so you know what {{date}}, {{snapshot:Project}}, and TaskDueListByTime are responsible for.

I want to create a theme

Create a theme when a topic keeps coming back and needs its own tasks, notes, or references. A one-off todo does not need a theme; write it in a daily note or the task inbox.

Aino Desktop path: Click Create Theme in the top toolbar. The question mark in the form opens the core concept guide, so you can decide whether the theme is a project, area, or resource.

Continue with Theme Notes to understand theme tags, PARA folders, and theme templates.

I want to organize tasks and calendars

Aino Desktop path: Open the task panel from the right sidebar and the calendar view from the left sidebar. To connect external reminders, open Settings → Calendar.

Start with Task Management, then configure Calendar Subscriptions if you need phone or external calendar reminders.

I want AI to read my notes

Aino Desktop path: Open the AI panel from the right sidebar. For first use, open Settings → AI and configure a model or local CLI agent.

Start with AI Smart Chat. If you want AI to use external tools, continue with Configure MCP Servers.

I just want to try the full workflow

If you have not chosen a workflow yet, run the example vault once: open a daily note, write a tagged entry, create a theme, then drag a task onto the calendar.
